This residency engages students to think as choreographer and designers in the creation of dance works set to original poetry written and read aloud by students. Students identify connections between elements of storytelling, text meaning, and dance; demonstrate vocabulary through improvisation; and participate in a performance of student created, read, and choreographed dance poems.
